Alfred Smith

A legendary prep school coach in Pennsylvania. Smith, who was a member of early teams at Springfield College, became soccer coach at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia in 1913 and coached that school’s team into the 1950s, as well as served as physical education director. Was editor of the NCAA Soccer Guide from 1948 to 1952. Inducted in 1951.
