Bob Guelker

Coach of the St. Louis University teams that won the NCAA soccer championship in five of the first seven seasons that event was held. Later won two more NCAA titles as coach at Southern Illinois University. Guelker, who was president of the United States Soccer Football Association from 1967 to 1969, was coach of the United States team at the 1972 Olympic Games. He had been executive director of St. Louis’ Catholic Youth Council, an important youth soccer organization, from 1946 to 1969. Inducted in 1980.
