Soccer writer for the New York Spanish-language newspaper La Prensa, one of a number of foreign-language newspapers that were a key factor in promoting the sport in American for many decades. Ferro also was a referee in the Metropolitan League of New York in the 1940s and had earlier been a goalkeeper during his playing career. Inducted in 1958.
