A missionary for the sport throughout the midwest, founding teams and leagues that included the Indiana University Soccer Club, which decades after its founding in 1949 became a perennial national champion. Guennel was a member of the United States Olympic Committee for 12 years and was president of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the Colorado state association. Inducted in 1980.
