Manager of the first U.S. National Team

The manager of the first U.S. National Team to enter the Olympic Games, in 1924. Had earlier served as secretary of the Massachusetts State Association and third vice president of the U.S. Football Association, and he assisted in creating the National Amateur Cup competition. Was a soccer writer for the Boston Globe from 1914 to 1950. Inducted in 1951.
