The guiding force behind the Bethlehem Steel powerhouse team. Lewis, who was born in Wales and came to the United States as a child in 1896, was executive vice president of the Bethlehem Steel Corp. from 1916 to 1930. A player with the Bethlehem team in its early years, he gave it an advocate in the leadership of the corporation that few factory teams had. In 1926, Lewis donated the cup that was awarded annually to the winner of the American Soccer League’s league cup tournament. Inducted in 1950.
