St. Louis soccer official who organized and managed several leading teams in the 1930s and ’40s. Marre, who was credited with helping to keep the sport alive in St. Louis during the Depression, was a member of the Missouri state commission for more than 10 years and served on the National Cup Committee. He earlier played for the St. Leo’s and St. Theresa’s teams in their best years in the early 20th century. Inducted in 1953.
