President of the U.S. Football Association from 1941 to 1945 and a leader of many Philadelphia soccer organizations. Served as president of the National Soccer League of Philadelphia from 1932 to 1939, president of the Eastern Pennsylvania state association from 1934 to 1941 and again from 1943 to 1973, and a director of the American Soccer League from 1935 to 1942. A longtime leader of the Philadelphia Old Timers Association and a leader in the move to establish a National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1950. Inducted in 1968.
