Umberto Abronzino

Northern California soccer official who helped to form San Francisco’s Peninsula Soccer League in 1957 and served as its secretary-treasurer for more than a decade. Emigrated from Italy in 1937 and played for and coached several teams in Connecticut before moving to California in the 1950s. Among his many administrative duties in northern California, he was a major force in the development of youth soccer in that region. Inducted in 1971.
