The coach of the United States team that played in the 1950 World Cup in Brazil and scored its famous upset win against England. Jeffrey, who was born in Scotland and came to the United States as a teenager in 1920, became soccer coach at Penn State University in 1925. He continued in that job into the 1960s, winning 10 national championships along the way. Inducted in 1951.
