DJORN'S DJOURNAL: New Look, New Life, New Beginning
Wow! What a month we have had! On December 12th, after months of work, we officially hosted a relaunch event for the National Soccer Hall of Fame which included the release of a new logo and brand identity, a new website (www.NationalSoccerHOF.com) and we announced details of when the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience will open. That weekend of October 20-21, 2018 is going to be special with the 2018 Induction Ceremony and a MEGA concert on Saturday, October 20th and the Hall of Fame game on Sunday, October 21st as FC Dallas play host to Sporting Kansas City. And did I mention a MEGA concert on Saturday? Trust me. It’s big! More details to come soon!
As we roll into 2018, I’ve had some time to reflect over the holiday break on what a truly special project this is. It’s not often that you get to reinvent something as special as the National Soccer Hall of Fame. To give it a new look, a new life, and a new beginning is not something this organization is taking lightly. The vision that the Hunt Family, US Soccer, and the city of Frisco has had for this project couldn’t be more spot on. We are working hard to create a hall of fame that all current and future members will be proud of. And I hope FC Dallas fans will be proud that this is in their backyard.
I’m also excited for the start of the FC Dallas season so that fans can see what great progress has been made since the end of the 2017 season. When you attend the home opener on March 3, you’re going to be blown away. I just know it! And when we open the seats in the south section in July, it’s going to be epic!
I’m sure the project has been hard to visualize for many. To help with that, we have created a virtual tour for your viewing pleasure. It’s worth the watch! I know I would be getting my FC Dallas season tickets in the National Soccer Hall of Fame Club section if I had the chance.
Remember, you can come out and see the progress of the National Soccer Hall of Fame at any time. Simply line up your private stadium tour by calling 469-365-0122 or send an email to stadiumtours@fcdallas.com
