A regular in the United States team at the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay, playing every minute of all three U.S. games. The Scottish-born midfielder was one of the stars of the original American Soccer League of the 1920s, playing for Providence from 1924 to 1930 and for several other ASL clubs in later years. He played a total of 315 ASL games. Inducted in 1986.
