Forward who was captain of the United States team that won the first Women’s World Cup in 1991. Heinrichs, who later was coach of the U.S. Women’s National Team for five years, played 47 full internationals for the United States between 1986 and 1991, scoring 37 goals. Four of those goals came in the 1991 Women’s World Cup and another eight in the four qualifiers she played that year. She was chosen as the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year in 1986 and 1989. Inducted in 1998.
