Forward who starred in the United States team at the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay. Brown, who was playing for the New York Giants of the American Soccer League at the time, played all three games for the United States at that World Cup and scored the only goal of the United States’ semifinal defeat against Argentina. Brown, who was born in Scotland and was the father of fellow Hall of Famer George Brown, later played several seasons for Tottenham, Manchester United and Brentford in England. Inducted in 1986.
