Defender who played in the U.S. team that upset England in the 1950 World Cup in Brazil. Maca, who had emigrated from Belgium a few years before, played for Brooklyn Hispano in the American Soccer League in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He represented the ASL in games against touring European teams several times and was chosen as the ASL’s most valuable player in the 1949-50 season. Inducted in 1976.
